4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Nick Markakis was activated from the injured list on Tuesday and had been expected to start in right field before the team’s game against the Yankees was postponed. Markakis had been sidelined since August 19 after he may have been exposed to coronavirus, but he figures to reclaim the starting right field job in Atlanta after playing in 11 consecutive games prior to his stint on the injured list. With Markakis back in the lineup, DH Matt Adams likely heads back to the bench after starting in three of the past four games for Atlanta.--Sam Chinitz
