Braves Agree With Phil Gosselin
3 years agoThe Atlanta Braves agreed to a minor league deal with free-agent infielder Phil Gosselin on Saturday, according to a source. Gosselin spent the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Angels, where he hit .261/.314/.362 with seven home runs, 47 RBI and 40 runs scored in 373 plate appearances over 104 games. The 33-year-old will likely be given an invite to spring camp, and he'll be hoping to make the team's Opening Day roster as infield depth for Atlanta. Gosselin has played with seven different teams in nine big-league seasons, and he'll be returning to the Braves after beginning his career with them in 2013. He has a career .261/.314/.362 slash line with 17 homers and 101 RBI.
