4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Braxton Garrett contributed three innings at the end of Saturday's 7-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Garrett was called up before the game because the Marlins needed a fresh arm after Sandy Alcantara exited in the second inning of Friday's game. Garrett made it through two scoreless innings, the sixth and the seventh, but then allowed all three runs in the eighth. With the game already out of hand, he was left in to complete the inning anyway. Garrett has a future as a middle-of-the-rotation starter, but the 23-year-old might need a little more minor league time.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
