2 years agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello was recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Friday. Bello is expected to slot into left-hander Chris Sale's (finger) spot in the rotation after the latter fractured his finger during his last start. Bello has struggled in the big leagues this season, allowing nine earned runs over his two starts, spanning eight innings of work. The 23-year-old is considered one of Boston's top pitching prospects, checking in as the No. 44 overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline. Bello has compiled a 2.82 ERA and 76 strikeouts over 54 1/3 innings of work in Triple-A this season.--Matt T - RotoBaller
