3 years agoLos Angeles Kings left-winger Brendan Lemieux had not scored in five games, so naturally he converted a rare opportunity in the second period on Thursday. He fired a surprising six shots on goal and generated four scoring chances in 15:40 of ice time. When Lemieux gets an opportunity in the top-six, he tends to excel for the most part. His goal beat Jaroslav Halak clean and was the only puck Los Angeles got past him in 65 minutes. Lemieux now has six goals in 21 games. Though he mostly plays fourth-line minutes, one has to wonder if he sees middle-six ice time on a more consistent basis soon.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
