Brendan McKay Likely Done For Season
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Brendan McKay (elbow) is likely done for the season after suffering a flexor strain during his rehab assignment, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. McKay had been working his way back from shoulder surgery, and had recently joined Double-A Montgomery for a rehab assignment when he suffered this latest injury. Topkin reports that he has received a PRP injection and will now be shut down for two to three weeks. McKay missed the 2020 campaign following a bout with COVID-19 followed by shoulder tightness that would require surgery. It was unlikely that he would have any fantasy value this year, and now it's all but certain of that fact.
