5 years agoTampa Bay rookie pitcher Brendan McKay looked fantastic in his first start in the majors since August 19, striking out seven in a 5-0 victory over Toronto. Throwing only 59 pitches, McKay allowed no runs and one hit over 3 2/3 innings, with Tampa Bay pitching combining for a two-hit shutout. The 23-year-old left-hander should line up to make his next start in Texas on Wednesday or Thursday and will face a Ranger's team that carries a league-high 26.1% K-rate against lefties on the season.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
