Brendan Rodgers Drives In Six Runs In Doubleheader
3 years agoColorado Rockies infielder Brendan Rodgers went a combined 4-for-9 with a home run, a double, five RBI, and two strikeouts in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs. Rodgers knocked an RBI single in game one's losing effort but exploded in game two. He swatted a two-run homer, knocked in two runs with a single, and picked up an RBI double in the extra-innings victory. The 25-year-old former top prospect has put together an encouraging season for Colorado, slashing .289/.344/.474 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI over 253 at-bats on the year. He's serviceable now in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues and he's certainly a name to keep an eye on if you need a streamer at the shortstop or second base position.
