4 years agoColorado Rockies' second baseman Brendan Rodgers went 1-for-5 with a double, three RBI, and one strikeout in an 11-6 win over the Texas Rangers on Thursday. The 24-year-old infielder put Colorado on the board in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI groundout. He would then add a two-run double in the bottom of the fifth to put the Rockies up 7-0. The former top prospect has struggled since coming off the injured list last month. He's batting a paltry .167/.250/.194 with one extra-base hit, five RBI, and a 9:2 K/BB ratio. His career batting line is just .188/.239/.218 across 133 at-bats, which isn't getting the job done. It's too early to throw in the towel on him but fantasy managers and the Rockies both have to be understandably impatient right now.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
