3 years agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers went 2-for-5 with a pair of singles and two strikeouts in a 7-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. Rodgers was one of two Rockies to collect multiple hits in Wednesday's defeat. The 25-year-old infielder was heating up at the plate after the All-Star break but has been underwhelming over the last 15 contests, slashing a mediocre .258/.281/.435 with a pair of home runs. Overall, he's got a .281/.333/.460 batting line to go along with 11 home runs and 40 RBI across 302 at-bats. He'll be an intriguing option at second base in next year's fantasy drafts.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
