Brent Burns Ends 15-Game Goal Drought In Sharks Win
7 years agoSan Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns scored his first goal since Feb. 15 in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over Vegas to end a 15-game goal drought, netting the game-tying goal at the start of the second period. Burns is having a bizarre year following his 29-goal and 76-point season in 2016-17, as his shooting percentage has plummeted below three percent and he can't seem to buy a goal at times. It's not like he isn't getting any chances, as Thursday's tilt was his second game in the last five outings with 10 shots on goal. However, in another bizarre twist, he didn't record any shots in the three games between the 10-attempt outbursts.
