4 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Brent Honeywell Jr. was optioned back to Triple-A following Saturday's game, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. He was recalled from Triple-A on Friday, but now will return to the minors without making an appearance as the team intends to activate Michael Wacha off the injured list on Sunday. In three appearances this season, Honeywell has an 8.31 ERA with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings of work. Managers shouldn't expect much value out of Honeywell this year, but he could be a solid pitcher to roster in 2022.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
