3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Brent Rooker went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Rays. Rooker's four hits were a career-high, as he became the fifth Twins player in the Statcast era with three-plus base hits at 105 MPH or harder in a game. It was a very impressive showing by the 26-year-old, who really needed it, as he was 0-for-15 with 10 strikeouts over his last four games. Rooker has pop in his bat, having clubbed 19 homers with a .546 slugging percentage at the Triple-A level this season, so perhaps this game will be a sign of things to come for him. Given the peaks and valleys in his play from July to August, he's more of a DFS option than a season-long asset.--Tim Capurso
