7 years agoThere is mutual interest between free-agent pitcher Brett Anderson and the Toronto Blue Jays, but the Blue Jays will likely aim higher on the free-agent market for now. Anderson could be an option for the back end of the starting rotation, but the left-hander has made just 20-plus starts only twice in nine seasons. In 13 starts for the Cubs and Blue Jays in 2017, Anderson was 4-4 with a 6.34 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 38 strikeouts in 55 1/3 innings. Hitter-friendly Rogers Centre wouldn't be the ideal location for Anderson to try to bounce back and stay healthy, and he'd really only be an innings-eater in deep AL-only leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
