Brett Anderson Earns Win Against Pirates
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brett Anderson (3-5) picked up the win Tuesday after blanking the Pirates across six strong innings. He allowed three hits and a walk while striking out three. Anderson looked sharp in this one, shutting down Pittsburgh's bats to earn his first win since April 17th, also against the Pirates. The southpaw started things off with an 11-pitch first inning and cruised the rest of the way. Despite a shaky first half of the season, Anderson has only given up two runs across 11 innings following the All-Star break. The 33-year-old will carry a 3.86 ERA and 1.30 WHIP into his next start.
