5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed two earned runs, seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. He threw 63 of his 93 pitches for strikes while throwing first-pitch strikes to 19 of the 27 batters he faced. Anderson also hit a batsman. Anderson has back-to-back quality starts, but he is winless in three consecutive outings dating back to his last win May 26 against the Seattle Mariners. His next scheduled start is set for Monday against the Baltimore Orioles, the first of two starts in the upcoming week for fantasy owners.--Daniel Dobish
