4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner went 1-for-1 with a walk and a grand slam against the Phillies on Sunday, his first home run of spring training this year. Never much of a power hitter, Gardner has only ever hit four regular-season grand slams, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect another in 2021. Gardner rejoined the Yankees on a one-year deal two weeks ago, and he'll compete with Mike Tauchman and Jay Bruce to be the team's fourth outfielder. With a fairly poor .756 OPS over the past three seasons, limited stolen-base value, and inconsistent playing time, Gardner should be rostered only in the deepest leagues.--Sam Chinitz
