5 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien had his last chance to make a push for a roster spot on Thursday evening, as the rookie out of Boise State is vying for the backup job to starter Joe Flacco. Rypien is coming off of a tough performance last week when he was given bulk duties, and improved, but didn't overly impress in the final preseason game. Rypien managed to connect on 72% of his passes and averaged 7.8 yards a throw while turning the ball over one time. Rypien will find out if his efforts were enough to jump the more experienced Kevin Hogan, but for the meantime, he holds no fantasy value.--Matthew.McGough
