Brewers Acquire Jonathan Schoop
6 years agoAfter showing interest earlier in the day, the Milwaukee Brewers have reportedly acquired Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop. The Orioles will receive Jonathan Villar as well as prospects Luis Ortiz and Jean Carmona. Milwaukee recently moved slugger Travis Shaw to second, so it's unclear where Schoop might play. However, Schoop has looked strong on offense, hitting .244 with 17 home runs and 40 RBI this season. With the Brewers having Shaw, Mike Moustakas and now Schoop, there's a bit of a logjam on the infield. However, all three should see regular playing time and Schoop will see a fantasy boost playing in quite possibly the best offense in baseball.
