Brewers Discussing Trade For Jonathan Schoop
6 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers are reportedly in talks with the Baltimore Orioles to acquire second baseman Jonathan Schoop. Milwaukee has already traded for Mike Moustakas and has moved Travis Shaw to second base. If they acquire Schoop, perhaps Shaw moves back to third with Moustakas playing short, or perhaps the current Oriole is tasked with moving over a position. Schoop is hitting .244 with 17 home runs and 40 RBI in 2018. The defensive alignment may be a bit odd, but with Shaw, Moustakas and Jesus Aguilar already in the fold, adding Schoop would give the Brewers arguably the best offensive infield in the MLB.
