3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Devin Williams is set to receive a couple of days off. "I think he got a little tired tonight so we'll probably have to give him a couple of days off here, but we kind of knew that would be the case if we used him tonight. He was probably a little tired by the end of the outing, for sure," manager Craig Counsell said. Williams has thrown on back-to-back days and allowed two earned runs on two hits, a walk and a hit by pitch in just one-third of an inning on Wednesday in the win over the Baltimore Orioles, although he picked up his third hold of the season in the process. The hard-throwing right-hander has struck out six hitters in his first 2 1/3 innings of the season, and the Brewers are just monitoring his workload early on.
