3 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Breyvic Valera had his contract purchased from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday. The young infielder was slashing .313/.406/.460 slash line over 150 at-bats in the minors this season. He also collected three home runs, 11 doubles, and seven stolen bases with Buffalo. Valera saw one plate appearance during Sunday's blowout victory over the Texas Rangers. He did not get on base, but should be a useful option off the bench for the Jays. Left-hander Nick Allgeyer has been designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Both players can be ignored in fantasy formats right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
