7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Breyvic Valera was traded from the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for minor league outfielder Johan Mieses. Valera was the Dominican League MVP last winter and could be the answer to the second base conundrum facing the team while Logan Forsythe mans third in Justin Turner's (wrist) absence. Valera had an impressive .819 OPS in 114 games for Triple-A Memphis last year and walked (38) more than he struck out (34). Given how deep the Cardinals are in the infield, he had no chance of making the squad. Now with the Dodgers, he's worth monitoring in deep leagues.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
