Brian Anderson Hits A Two-Run Shot
6 years agoMiami Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson went 1-for-4 in the win over the Tigers on Wednesday night. The 26-year-old started off slow, striking out twice before drilling a 394-foot shot to center off of a 94 mph sinker from Detroit reliever Victor Alcantara in the top of the eighth inning. Nonetheless, it was a rare semi-efficient outing for the youngster who has hit just .217 in May to go along with only 13 hits and 16 strikeouts in 60 at-bats. He will look to keep it going on Thursday afternoon in the series finale with Detroit with starting pitcher Matthew Boyd on the hill for the Tigers.
