4 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Brian Elliott was in top form on Tuesday, posting his first shutout of the season with 40 saves in a 3-0 win over Buffalo. The veteran netminder was especially impressive in the third period with 16 stops. There's just something about the Sabres that makes Elliott play out of his mind, as he now boasts a 14-2-2 career record against them. The Flyers will see Buffalo multiple times again down the road, but for now, they have to focus on back-to-back games against Boston. Elliott's record vs. the Bruins isn't anywhere close to the one he has against the Sabres, as he's managed only a 3-8-3 record in 15 appearances against them.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
