7 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Brian Goodwin (wrist) has begun swinging a bat again and it looks like he'll be the first of the team's major injured players to return to action. There's still no timetable for his return but the news is a positive sign. He's been on the disabled list since April 17th with a left wrist contusion and was shut down last week due to soreness. Matt Adams has been filling in from time to time in left field since Adam Eaton is injured. But the team would still like to get Goodwin's speed and defense in there sooner rather than later.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
