Brian Goodwin Hits Fifth Home Run
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Brian Goodwin went 1-for-3 with two runs, two walks and a solo home run in Saturday's loss versus the Cleveland Indians. Goodwin was struggling entering the contest, but has been playing with outfielder Eloy Jimenez (groin) banged up. Goodwin came through and not only with his home run, but he also worked a walk against James Karinchak to open the bottom of the eighth inning and would score when fellow outfielder Adam Engel hit a two-run home run as the next batter. Despite the nice night of work, Goodwin doesn't get enough playing time to make an impact for managers and can remain on the waiver wire. He is now hitting .246 with five home runs and 18 RBI.
