5 years agoAtlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann will bring a veteran presence, and not much else, to the fantasy table when the team opens up their playoff push against the Cardinals on Thursday. McCann can still put a charge into the baseball from time to time, but slashed only .229/.300/.364 in 35 games played since the All-Star break. He will split time with Tyler Flowers in the postseason but don't expect to see McCann face any left-handed pitching. McCann is posting a dismal .497 OPS against lefties this season, making him a less than ideal fantasy play throughout the playoffs.--Joey C - RotoBaller
