7 years agoHouston Astros catcher Brian McCann (knee) caught starting pitcher Justin Verlander's bullpen session on Monday, and it was the first bullpen McCann has caught since he had knee surgery. He is "ahead of schedule" in his rehab, but he may not be back with the team until sometime next month. McCann was hitting just .206 with five home runs and 17 RBI in 50 games for the 'Stros. He's merely a part-time backstop/designated hitter at this point in his career and won't do much for fantasy owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
