7 years agoHouston Astros catcher Brian McCann (knee) is back with the team in Houston and is "ready to go," according to manager A.J. Hinch. However, the team is "leaning toward" activating McCann from the disabled list on Saturday, Sept. 1, when roster expand. The veteran McCann has only five homers, 17 RBI and an ugly .206 average in 155 at-bats on the season. He should split time with Martin Maldonado behind the plate down the stretch, but he's merely a consideration in two-catcher leagues at this point in his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
