6 years agoHouston Astros catcher Brian McCann is hitting only .200 in nine games since returning to the lineup from knee surgery. The veteran slugger has driven in three runs and has more walks (six) than hits (four) through 26 plate appearances. The good news is McCann appears to be healthy heading into the playoffs. The bad news is that it is tough to envision McCann being a factor on offense the rest of the season and into October. He has not had an extra-base hit since June 14 and is slugging only .309 for the season. Expect Martin Maldonado to see the lion's share of the catching duties the rest of the season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
