7 years agoHouston Astros catcher Brian McCann has struggled recently with two hits in his last 23 at-bats. His batting average has plummeted from .359 to .258 during the skid and has only four extra-base hits this season through 62 at-bats. McCann was in danger of losing playing time to Max Stassi after Stassi got off to a hot start, but all of the Astros catchers have struggled recently. McCann still can provide plenty of power from behind the plate, but he is past his fantasy prime at this point in his career.--Joey C - RotoBaller
