Brian McCann Slashing .196/.245/.348 In May
7 years agoHouston Astros catcher Brian McCann has slumped in May after a productive first month of the season, slashing only .196/.245/.348 over his last 46 at-bats. He has popped two home runs over his last seven games played, including one last Sunday, but his batting average has dipped from .271 to .238 since May 1. McCann is a veteran hitter who puts together professional at-bats, but backup Max Stassi is currently hitting .299 and has earned the chance to get more playing time. McCann has plenty of intriguing statistics on the back of his baseball card, but his days of playing every day are over. The timeshare behind the plate for the Astros makes both McCann and Stassi unappealing options in fantasy right now.
