3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie outfielder Brian Miller was called up and will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the New York Yankees. With the Marlins sending Starling Marte to Oakland and Adam Duvall to Atlanta, there's plenty of space in the outfield for young guys to get a chance. Miller is a 25-year-old who was the 36th overall pick of the 2017 draft. He got off to a very slow start at Triple-A this season, but has been hitting much better of late, good for a .254/.314/.331 line in 263 plate appearances. He makes decent contact, but doesn't have too much power, as he's hit only four home runs in his minor league career. He'll play left field and bat eighth in Friday's game.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
