2 years agoColorado Rockies rookie catcher Brian Serven is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Minnesota Twins. It will be the third straight game that Serven starts on the bench in favor of Elias Diaz. Serven has been solid for the Rockies while splitting time with Diaz behind the plate, as he's hitting .295/.358/.492 with an .850 OPS, three home runs, nine RBI and eight runs scored in 61 at-bats over his first 20 major league games. Diaz is hitting ninth against Twins right-hander Dylan Bundy on Friday. He's hitting just .223 with four home runs and 18 RBI on the season, but he's gong 8-for-21 (.381) with two homers and eight RBI in seven games in the last two weeks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
