Broncos Defense Moves On From Davontae Harris
4 years agoDenver Broncos cornerback Davontae Harris was released Tuesday, just two days removed from not playing a snap on defense in Week 10 while also having sustained a concussion. Harris drew the start at corner during Week 9 -- his first of the season -- but he committed multiple penalties. Heading into a matchup against the Dolphins on Sunday, the team will presumably stick with A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan out wide to help slow down rookie sensation Tua Tagovailoa. The Broncos Defense is available on the waiver wire in nearly 80 percent of season-long leagues, per ESPN, and the loss of Harris isn't likely to sway that number significantly in either direction. But with injuries having already zapped Denver of much of its defensive strength, the voluntary loss of recent starters indicates a group patching things together on a week-by-week basis. Avoid their defense in fantasy this weekend.
