Broncos Defense Off The Fantasy Radar To Close Out Season
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense/special teams should be avoided to close out their season in Week 18 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. Not only is this a bad matchup against a strong offense, but the Broncos D will be missing key personnel to slow down Patrick Mahomes and Company. Head coach Vic Fangio announced Thursday that starting cornerbacks Patrick Surtain II (calf) and Ronald Darby (shoulder) will not play Saturday. Starting safety Kareem Jackson (back) went on Injured Reserve earlier this week. In addition, starting defensive end Shelby Harris and cornerback Nate Hairston are questionable to play with illnesses. Denver ranks third with 18.4 points allowed this year and gave up just 22 points to the Chiefs in their first meeting, but with their secondary compromised, they could be in for a second straight rough week.
