Broncos Defense One To Avoid In Week 17
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense has been one of the more solid units around the league in the NFL this year. They are currently tied with the New England Patriots for fewest points allowed per game at 17.3, but they check in at No. 20 in overall fantasy points with just 19 total takeaways (six fumble recoveries, 13 interceptions) in 15 games played. They've scored one defensive touchdown. COVID-19 hit them hard this week, too, as star pass-rusher Bradley Chubb, cornerback Bryce Callahan, linebacker Jonathan Cooper, safety Caden Sterns, defensive lineman Mike Purcell, cornerback Mike Ford, linebacker Andre Mintze and linebacker Stephen Weatherly were put on the COVID list on Friday. Against a Chargers offense that scores 27.2 points per game (eighth most) that is looking to put an upset loss in their rearview mirror, the Broncos defense doesn't match up well in Week 17.
