Broncos Expected To Turn Attention To Russell Wilson
3 years agoNow that the Green Bay Packers signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a four-year, $200 million contract extension, the Denver Broncos are expected to pursue Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, according to 9News' Mike Klis. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett's familiarity with Packers QB Jordan Love will also link speculation to the Broncos as they look for an upgrade over Drew Lock in 2022 and beyond. It remains to be seen if Denver can swing a deal for Wilson, but the Seahawks have been adamant this offseason that they aren't looking to trade the 33-year-old signal-caller. Wilson hasn't publicly pined for a trade, but if it's the right fit for him, he may want to pursue his options. The smart money is on him staying in Seattle for at least another season.
