7 years agoDenver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said he wasn't concerned with Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield's height. "I think that’s fine. You watch Drew Brees play, he’s figured it out. He’s a very successful quarterback. Guys figure it out. Good players figure it out. I wouldn’t be concerned about that," Joseph said. The Broncos have reportedly requested to coach Mayfield in this week's Senior Bowl, which means they could be serious about selecting him with the fifth overall pick in this year's draft. Mayfield was electric under center in 2017 and excelled because of his ability to turn broken plays into big gains. His average height could concern some teams, as well as his controversial off-field exploits.
