Broncos Seem Intent On Making Devontae Booker Their No. 1 Back
7 years agoThe Denver Broncos seem intent on making running back Devontae Booker their No. 1 back moving forward, which means C.J. Anderson could be released in the offseason. It's a little bit of a head-scratcher, given that Booker hasn't really proved to be a lead back in his two years in the NFL. He ran the ball 79 times for 299 yards (3.8 yards per carry) for just one touchdown in 2017, but the Broncos apparently like his long-term outlook. Booker would obviously see a big boost in his fantasy value if Anderson is out of the picture in 2018, but he'd probably be sharing the backfield with D'Angelo Henderson and possibly someone else. Stay tuned.
