Browns Claim Kellen Mond From Vikings
2 years agoThe Cleveland Browns claimed quarterback Kellen Mond off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday. Mond failed to impress the Vikings in training camp and the preseason, and he became expendable after the team recently acquired veteran Nick Mullens to back up starter Kirk Cousins. The former third-rounder will get a new opportunity in 2022 and will provide more depth in Cleveland behind Jacoby Brissett with Deshaun Watson suspended for the first 11 games of the season. There's a good chance that Mond will be on the Browns practice squad, as they also have Joshua Dobbs at the position. The 23-year-old isn't a must-hold in dynasty/keeper leagues at this point.
