Browns Likely To Take WR With First-Round Pick
3 years agoThe Cleveland Browns appear poised to select the best available wide receiver at pick No. 13 overall in the first round of this year's draft instead of a quarterback. If the Browns do go with a QB in this draft, it could be a developmental prospect in the later rounds. In addition to likely taking a first-round pass-catcher, the Browns will likely be active in free agency and are looking to restructure Jarvis Landry's contract in order to bring him back in 2022. Cleveland is determined to upgrade the passing game this offseason, which is a major reason that they think quarterback Baker Mayfield will have a bounce-back season. Mayfield will also have a new quarterbacks coach in Drew Petzing, who is viewed as an up-and-coming assistant with head-coaching potential.
