2 years agoThe Cleveland Browns are still not expected to pursue a trade for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder), even with the uncertainty surrounding a potential suspension of Deshaun Watson. The Browns never seriously considered Garoppolo, even before Watson hit the trade market in March. If Watson is suspended to open the year, Cleveland is expected to pursue another veteran signal-caller to give them insurance behind Jacoby Brissett, but it's unlikely to be Garoppolo, who is still recovering from offseason right shoulder surgery. The 30-year-old is hoping to return to the field in mid-August, at which point a trade is likely, possibly to the Seattle Seahawks or Houston Texans.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
