Browns Not Turned Off By Josh Allen's Senior Bowl Practices
7 years agoCleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey insisted that Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen's airball pass at Senior Bowl practice this week didn't faze him. NFL talent evaluators agreed that Allen was inconsistent in practice Wednesday, but he was more impressive in the red zone and during goal-line drills on Thursday. Despite Allen's inconsistencies (56.3 career completion percentage in college), most scouts and personnel executives agree that Allen is a tremendous overall athlete, and his draft grades won't change much at all. While Allen is the consensus top quarterback in this year's draft class, he does have a fair amount of risk in his game in terms of inaccuracy, but his physical tools stand out. He'll remain in play for the top overall pick of the Browns, who desperately need a franchise signal caller.
