Browns Re-Sign Chase McLaughlin
3 years agoThe Cleveland Browns re-signed kicker Chase McLaughlin to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday. The Browns will reunite with McLaughlin after not tendering him a contract as a restricted free-agent. The 25-year-old went 6-for-12 on his field goals down the stretch for the Browns last year and finished just 15-for-21 (71.4%) while also making 36 of his 37 extra-point tries in 16 games. He has already played for six NFL teams in a three-year span and has made only 75.5% of his 49 career field-goal attempts in 31 total games. The Browns should have a much more explosive offense under quarterback Deshaun Watson (pending a suspension), but fantasy managers should be able to find more reliable kickers.
