7 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell will not travel with the team to Canada due to a pending sentencing, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Maxwell has not been sentenced following his April 13 plea agreement to charges that include gun enhancement. Therefore, he is considered ineligible for entry under Canadian immigration guidelines. Maxwell's sentencing is set for June 4th. For the Athletics to add another catcher during the road trip, Maxwell will likely be sent to Triple-A.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
