Bruce Zimmermann Allows Two Home Runs, Takes Loss Tuesday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Bruce Zimmermann fell to 1-3 in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Yankees. Zimmermann pitched just 3 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits (including two home runs) and a walk with three strikeouts. The 26-year-old has had a lackluster season to this point, compiling a 5.33 ERA with eight walks, 18 strikeouts, and a poor 2.13 HR/9 rate over his first five starts (25 1/3 IP). His next start should come on the road against a hot A's lineup. Fantasy managers should avoid him regardless of matchup at this time.
