Bruce Zimmermann Earns Win Sunday As Follower
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Bruce Zimmermann improved to 2-3 in Sunday's 10-6 win over the Yankees. Zimmermann, who was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk Sunday morning, followed Adam Plutko to start the second inning down by two runs. He pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run on two hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with six strikeouts. The 26-year-old now has a 4.79 ERA through 35 2/3 IP this season. It remains to be seen when Zimmermann will make his next appearance for the O's and in what capacity, but fantasy managers can avoid him for now regardless.
