Bruce Zimmermann Solid In Tuesday Return
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Bruce Zimmermann had an encouraging start in his return from the injured list Tuesday, taking a no-decision in the 4-2 win over the Red Sox. Zimmermann pitched 4 innings, allowing one run on two hits (including a home run) and two walks with two strikeouts. The 26-year-old had been on the IL since mid June with left biceps tendinitis as well as a right ankle sprain. The rookie now has a 4.66 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and 19.8% strikeout rate. It remains to be seen if he will make another start this season, but if he did it would likely be the final game of the season at the Blue Jays.
